Playing it by ear.

The client:
Cafe owners who specialise in traditional Chinese food with a modern twist.
Today's task:
Design a packaging for takeouts.

The Chinese takeout Bunny-fied
Chinese takeouts have a distinct style of packaging that makes it quintessentially "Chinese takeout". Let's lev-ear-age that!
We could do something simple, by building off the "bunny" element from Part 1. Add bunny ears, and use that as a form of sealing the packaging.
However, I do have a personal concern, which is that Chinese takeout containers are aural-dy not very environmentally-friendly to begin with - that is, even if we are talking plant-based, compostable materials - and adding on those ears is adding on to that problem. Should we have an incentive for customers to bring their own containers, while keeping this bunny-eared identity?
So I figured, why not have a reusable option as well (and introduce a discount for customers who bring these containers)! To keep the bunny ears, we could have the ends of the utensils sticking out of box - not too much though, so that it is still portable and convenient to bring around.

There was still something lacking. Our "ears" don't quite yet resemble ears. What they need is a face. We'll just have to move the brand logo to the back.
And why stop hear - sorry, i meant - here? Now, the world of bunnies is our oyster! Put them in carrot suits? Let them play with some boba? Or suit them up for festive seasons and special occasions! We could even collaborate with brands and artists to produce limited edition designs. Cool cool cool cool cool.
what makes a brand unique? most times it's in the little details. and sometimes our bunnies have no tails - so instead it's in the little det-ears.
That's enough lame puns for the day. Ch-ear-io! 👋 (yeah, well, I lied.)
